About Dartmoor

Covering 368 square miles of great natural beauty the scenery in the park ranges from deep wooded valleys and patchwork fields, to the rugged splendour of the tors and open moors rising to over 2,000 ft above sea level.

The wildlife is remarkable, with wild ponies, badgers, foxes, buzzards, lark, plover, curlew, snipe and heron; sheep and cattle also roam free.

This is wonderful country for walking, fly fishing, riding, shooting and golf, an ideal base for exploring and enjoying the rich heritage and countryside of Devon and Cornwall.
